Hello there! Just wanted you to know that we are loving our Temple service in Washington, D.C. and experience tender mercies almost daily in the Temple. Yesterday we had six Stakes due to come but as much care and concern had been given to hurricane Hannah we thought our attendance would be light. The rain started to pour but much to our amazement the Temple parking lot, the Visitors Center parking lot and even our Ward building parking lot were filled to capacity. The Temple switchboard was lit up constantly with people calling, saying we're coming but this bridge is out, this street is closed, these streets are flooded, this area is blocked, etc. tell us a way to get there. A Temple worker was on the phone with each call giving directions and guided them all safely in. There was such great joy at having the Temple filled. An analogy could be made that we, too, receive directions from our Savior who will guide us safely home if we but listen and follow. We lovingly encourage you to attend the Temple often, dear family, with a listening ear to learn and a heart open to the tender mercies found only in the Temple
